Add missing events

What is this?

When a new member joins, the upcoming events that already exist often don't include them yet. With Add missing events you add them there. The member gets the selected events with the response “Pending” and can then accept or decline themselves. With the checkbox Add as “Attending” right away they are added as attending straight away and only need to decline if they can't come.

How to add events

1. Click Ensembles in the sidebar, pick your choir and then Members.
2. Open the ··· menu on the member's row and choose Add … missing events. The entry only appears if the member is missing events. It's quicker via the “… events missing” hint in the Status column: one click opens adding directly. Alternatively, you'll find the button in the member's Attendance tab.
3. Theatilo shows the upcoming events the member is missing.
4. Select the events.
5. If needed, tick the checkbox Add as “Attending” right away.
6. Click Add … events.

For several members at once

1. Select the members in the member list.
2. Click Add missing events at the bottom and confirm.
3. All selected members get their missing upcoming events with the response “Pending”. Adding as “Attending” right away is only available for a single member.

Permission

You need the permission Create & edit members.

Tips

• Add events right after creating the member, so the new member sees all upcoming rehearsals straight away.
• If you create rehearsals with everyone already attending, tick the checkbox Add as “Attending” right away when adding. Then that applies to new members too.
• Members with the box “Do not automatically add to events” ticked are not added to new events by Theatilo. For them, adding missing events is the way to invite them selectively.
