Permission required: Administrators only
What is this?
Every permission group consists of individual permissions, organised by area. This page explains the areas and how you check a group's permissions.
How to check a group's permissions
- Click Ensembles in the sidebar, pick your choir and then Choir settings.
- Select Permission groups. The table shows each group's name, description and number of members.
- Click a group. Its permissions open on the right, organised by area.
- Change ticks if needed and click Save.
Areas
- Members: view, view member list, view sensitive data, view birthdays, edit own data, create & edit, delete, view engagement warnings
- Events: view, create & edit, delete, view individual event types, decline reasons, confidential note, response history
- Sheet Music: view, view hidden sheet music, download & share, create & edit, delete, manage default jump areas
- Notifications, Cashbook, Media Albums, Files, Contacts, Projects, Chat, Tasks
- Public Website, Ensemble Settings, Voice Parts & Functions, Reports & Exports
- Ticket Sales, Venues, Practice Sessions, Attendance
- Board and Mailbox, if your choir uses the board area
What only administrators may do
Some tasks don't depend on individual permissions but on the Administrator group:
- manage permission groups
- take out, change and cancel the subscription
- assign the Administrator group
- see the choir's setup
- delete the choir
Permission
Only administrators of the choir can see the Permission groups page.
Tips
- Check the permissions regularly, for example after a change on the board.
- Describe special permissions in the group's Description field, so successors understand why a group has certain permissions.
- Grant delete permissions sparingly.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I see which group has which permissions?▾
Under **Choir settings > Permission groups**. Clicking a group opens its permissions as a list with ticks, organised by area. There is no table of all groups side by side.
Can I change permissions here too?▾
Yes, directly in the open group: set or remove ticks and click **Save**. The Administrator group always has all permissions and cannot be changed; with **Show permissions** you see its list.
Why can't I remove some ticks?▾
Some permissions require others. For example, anyone who may edit members must also be able to see them. Theatilo sets such permissions automatically and marks them “required”.
