Permission required: Files – Upload files

What is this?

With Upload you put files into your choir's storage, in the folder you are currently in. You can upload several files at once.

How to upload files

  1. Click Files in the sidebar. If a choir is selected at the top, its storage opens; with “All choirs”, Theatilo asks which choir you mean.
  2. Open the target folder.
  3. Click Upload at the top right or drag files straight into the window.
  4. The Upload files dialog shows the target and the allowed size. Add more files or remove individual ones.
  5. Click Upload. The progress is shown.

If some files fail, Theatilo reports which ones were uploaded and which weren't.

What happens after uploading

  • The files are immediately visible to everyone who may see the folder.
  • Theatilo records who uploaded the file and when. You can see this under Versions.

Permission

You need the permission Upload files. If the folder has its own rules, the rule's Upload permission decides there. Without the permission, Upload and New Folder don't appear.

Tips

  • Give files meaningful names before uploading, such as “Minutes-Board-2026-03-15.pdf”.
  • For sensitive files, check first who may see the target folder.
  • Whole folders can't be uploaded at once. Create the folder and upload the files into it, or use the desktop app.
