Choir functions (director, music librarian, ...)

What is this?

Ensemble functions describe who has which task in the choir. Theatilo comes with these standard functions:

• Member
• First Chairperson
• Second Chairperson
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Board Member
• Choir Director
• Music Librarian
• Public Relations
• Event Organization
• Technical

You can also create your own functions, for example “Soprano section leader”.

How to create your own functions

1. Click Ensembles in the sidebar, pick your choir and then Choir settings.
2. Select Voices & roles. The Ensemble Functions list is there.
3. Click Add Ensemble Function, enter the Function Name and confirm.
4. Use the menu on a function to choose Rename or Delete. A function that members currently hold cannot be deleted.

Assign functions to members

1. Open the member under Members.
2. Switch to the Roles tab.
3. Click Add function, choose the Ensemble Function and enter From and optionally Until.
4. Click Add.

Use the menu on a function to choose End function, Edit or Delete. Ended functions stay in the list with their period. When you create a member, you can pick a first ensemble function straight away.

• Member list: Ensemble Function column and filter under More filters
• Member profile: Roles tab
• Files: folder permissions can also be granted to an ensemble function
• Events: events can be limited to specific functions

Tips

• Keep the list short. The standard functions cover the usual club offices.
• Use End function instead of deleting a function when someone steps down. That way the history is kept.
