Connect your own domain, such as www.my-choir.com, to your choir's Theatilo website. Once it is verified, the SSL certificate is added automatically.

What is this?
With your own domain, your choir's website is reachable at your address, for example www.my-choir.com, not only at chorilo.com/w/…
How to connect a domain
- Click Ensembles in the sidebar, pick your choir and then Choir settings.
- Select Public website and scroll to Use Custom Domain (Optional).
- Create a DNS record with your domain provider:
- Option 1: A record pointing to
46.225.8.57 - Option 2: CNAME pointing to
custom.chorilo.com
- Option 1: A record pointing to
- Enter your domain under Domain, for example
www.my-choir.com. - Click Save and check.
- If the record is found, “Domain verified successfully!” appears. Otherwise you see a notice and check again later.
DNS changes can take up to 24 hours.
What happens after verification
- The SSL certificate is created automatically as soon as the domain is verified and the website is online.
- The website is reachable at your domain. If the variant with or without
www.also points to Theatilo via DNS, it works too. - The address at chorilo.com/w/… keeps working.
If you change the domain later, it has to be verified again.
Permission
You need the permission Manage website. Your own domain costs nothing extra; you book the domain itself with a provider of your choice.

- Choose a short domain that is easy to remember.

Do I need technical knowledge?▾
Only a little. You create a DNS record with your domain provider: either an A record pointing to 46.225.8.57 or a CNAME pointing to custom.chorilo.com. Theatilo also shows both values on the page.
Do I get an SSL certificate (https)?▾
Yes. As soon as the domain is verified and the website is online, the SSL certificate is created automatically.
Can I keep using my existing website?▾
Not under the same address. When the domain points to Theatilo, the Theatilo website appears there. For a transition, use a different subdomain or embed just your events into the existing site with the embed code.
