Permission required: Public Website – Manage website

What is this?

Under Public website you maintain everything on your choir's website. The page is divided into sections:

  • Website Status: online or not, plus the address
  • Address and content: website name, URL path, language, contact email and description (with formatting)
  • Use Custom Domain: your own address, such as www.my-choir.com
  • Events on the website: which events appear, and an embed code for your own homepage
  • Design & Colors: logo and theme colour
  • News: posts with title, text and image

How to edit content

  1. Click Ensembles in the sidebar, pick your choir and then Choir settings.
  2. Select Public website.
  3. Change texts, logo or colours.
  4. Click Save. As long as something is unsaved, “Unsaved changes” shows at the bottom.

Events on the website

  1. Tick Show Events.
  2. Choose Show Rehearsals, Show Concerts and Church Services, Show Other Events and optionally Show Event Descriptions.
  3. Under Maximum Number of Events Displayed set how many events appear.

If you already have your own homepage, copy the Embed Code and paste it there. Your events then appear on your site automatically. With Show Preview you see beforehand what it looks like. The code needs the website name and URL path.

Under Calendar subscription you also find a Calendar link. Share it with members, friends or fans. Anyone who subscribes to it in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook sees the same events as on your website. Changes are in the link within 15 minutes. When the calendar app picks them up is up to the app: Apple Calendar and Outlook usually within an hour, Google Calendar can take several hours. The link appears once the website is saved.

News

  1. Under News click Write news.
  2. Enter the News Title, text and optionally an Image, and click Apply.
  3. Click Save at the bottom.

The bottom news item appears first on the website. Via the menu on a news item you change the order or remove it.

Permission

You need the permission Manage website.

Tips

  • Write news regularly, for example before every concert.
