Delete a choir
Delete your choir with all its data from Theatilo for good when it is no longer needed. Only administrators can do this, and it cannot be undone.
This feature is only available on the web.
What is this?
With Delete Ensemble you remove your choir and all its data from Theatilo for good. This only makes sense if the choir is being dissolved or you no longer use Theatilo.
Deleting removes:
- members and their data in this choir
- events and responses
- sheet music and audio files
- announcements and attachments
- media albums and media
- cash book and receipts
- invoices and PDF archive
- chats and messages
- all of the choir's files
Events that belong to several choirs are kept for the other choirs.
A running subscription of the choir ends immediately when you delete it, with no refund for the rest of the period. The warning points this out too. If the choir shares the subscription with another choir, it continues for the other choir.
How to delete a choir
- Click Ensembles in the sidebar, pick your choir and then Choir settings.
- Select Leave choir.
- Click Delete Ensemble.
- Read the warning and type DELETE to confirm.
- Confirm with Delete Ensemble.
Save first
- Invoices and PDF archive from the cash book: they must be kept for 10 years.
- Reports under Choir settings > Reports, such as the member list and attendance.
Permission
Only an Administrator of the choir can delete it. Everyone else only sees Leave ensemble under Leave choir.
Tips
- Hand the choir over instead of deleting it if it's only a change in leadership: give another person the Administrator permission group.
- If the choir is only pausing, cancel the subscription instead. The data is kept.
