Permission required: Ticket Sales – Create & edit ticket sales
What is this?
With a ticket sale you sell tickets for an event online. Buyers order via a public shop page without a Theatilo account and get their tickets as a PDF with QR code by email. At the entrance you check the tickets with the ticket scanner.
Before you start
- Enter an IBAN: Without your choir's IBAN, no ticket sale can be created. You enter it under Ensembles > Choir > Choir settings > General. The revenue is transferred there.
- Design the ticket: Under Edit ticket sale, the sale can only be activated once a ticket design has been created. So create the sale as inactive first.
How to set up the ticket sale
- Open the event and switch to the Tickets tab.
- Click “Create Ticket Sale”.
- Choose the Ticket Type: Simple Tickets with a fixed number or Seating Tickets with a seating plan.
- Set the quantity: for simple tickets the Total Tickets, for seating tickets the venue with its seating plan.
- Choose the fee model.
- Optional: Upload event images and set Sale Start and Sale End. If left empty, the sale has no time limit.
- Create the price categories, see “Define ticket categories”.
- Click “Create”.
- Design the ticket via Design ticket.
- Activate the sale under Edit ticket sale by ticking Ticket sale active.
What is available afterwards
- Public shop page: reachable via Go to shop page; you share the link on your website, for example
- Tickets by email: buyers get their tickets as a PDF with QR code
- Orders on the Tickets tab, with cancellation and tickets as PDF
- Create Free Tickets, for example for guests of honor
- Ticket Scanner for the entrance, on the web and in the app
- Payout of the revenue 7 days after the event to the IBAN on file
Permission
You need Create & edit ticket sales. You see the Tickets tab with View ticket sales. By default administrators and moderators have both permissions.
Tips
- Set up the sale in good time, so buyers have enough time.
- Test the shop page yourself before you share the link publicly.
Frequently asked questions
Which events are suitable for ticketing?▾
Concerts and other public events. Events of the type Rehearsal do not have the “Tickets” tab.
What does ticketing cost?▾
Each order costs 3.4% + €0.99. When setting up, you decide under “Fee model” whether the choir pays the fees (“Absorb fees”) or whether they are added to the price as a service fee (“Pass to buyer”).
Can I turn ticketing off again later?▾
Yes. Under “Edit ticket sale” you untick “Ticket sale active”. Then no more tickets can be bought in the shop. Existing orders are not affected.
What is the difference between simple tickets and seating tickets?▾
Simple tickets have a fixed number without seat selection and are available to every choir. Seating tickets use a seating plan on which buyers choose their seat. They have to be activated for your choir by support, and you need the permission **View venues**.
