Duplicate or delete a venue
Duplicate a venue's seating plan as a template or delete venues you no longer need. Venues used in a ticket sale cannot be deleted.

What is this?
Via a venue's ··· menu you can duplicate or delete it.
Duplicating
A copy is worthwhile, for example, if you:
- have several similar rooms in the same building
- need a variant of the same seating plan, for example with and without a stage extension
- want to experiment with the seating plan without changing the original
How to duplicate
- Open Ensembles > Choir > Choir settings > Venues.
- Open the venue's “···” menu and choose Duplicate.
- The copy appears in the list right away, with the suffix “(Kopie)” in its name.
- Edit the copy: adjust the name and create the description and price categories again, because they are not copied.
Deleting
- Open the venue's “···” menu and choose Delete. Alternatively, you find Delete at the bottom of the venue's edit dialog.
- Confirm the prompt. The venue and its seating plan are deleted.
A venue that is used in a ticket sale cannot be deleted.
Permission
You need Create & edit venues. By default administrators and moderators have it.
Tip
If you want to rebuild a seating plan fundamentally, duplicate the venue first. That way you keep the original as a backup.
Frequently asked questions
What is carried over when duplicating?▾
The seating plan with all seats, areas and objects. The copy has the same name as the original with the suffix “(Kopie)”. Description and price categories are not carried over; you create them again in the copy. Changes to the copy do not affect the original.
Can I delete a venue that is already used in a ticket sale?▾
No. As long as a ticket sale uses the venue, it cannot be deleted.
Can I restore a deleted venue?▾
No. Deleting is permanent, the venue disappears along with its seating plan.
