What is this?
With Copy from event you copy the sheet music program of another event into the current one, including the order. This saves time for dress rehearsals with the same program as the concert or for recurring programs.
How to take over sheet music
- Open the event that should get the sheet music and switch to the Sheet Music tab.
- Click “Copy from event”.
- Decide whether to append or replace: With Append to existing list (do not replace) the existing sheet music is kept. Without this option, the current list is replaced completely.
- Choose the source event. Each one shows how many pieces it has.
- Click “Import”.
What is carried over
- All pieces of the source event, including licensed sheet music from the shop
- The order
Date, location, attendees and everything else at the event stay unchanged.
Permission
You need Create & edit events and Create & edit sheet music. By default administrators and moderators have them. The feature is only available on the web.
Tips
- Pay attention to the “Append” option if sheet music is already attached to the event, otherwise it will be replaced.
- When you duplicate an event, the sheet music comes along anyway, so you don't need an import.
Frequently asked questions
Which events can I choose as the source?▾
Events of the same choir that have sheet music and are no more than 30 days in the past, including upcoming events.
Is the order carried over?▾
Yes. The pieces come in the same order as in the source event. Afterwards you can re-sort them at any time.
What happens to pieces that are already attached to the event?▾
That depends on the option “Append to existing list (do not replace)”. If it is off, the existing sheet music list is replaced completely. If it is on, the existing sheet music stays and only missing pieces are added at the end.
