Accept or decline an event (RSVP)

What is this?

With your response you let your choir know whether you are coming to an event. This helps the choir leaders plan, for example whether all voices are covered.

How to accept or decline

On the web:

1. Open Events. You can respond right on the card in the list.
2. Or open the event and choose Attending, Maybe or Declined under Your response.

In the app:

1. In Events, tap your response right on the card, or open the event.
2. Choose your response under Your attendance status and confirm the prompt.

Your response is saved right away and appears in the attendee list.

What does each status mean?

• Attending: You are coming.
• Maybe: You don't know for sure yet.
• Declined: You can't make it.
• Pending: You have not responded yet.

When responding is locked

• Response deadline: If the event has a deadline, you can only respond until then. There can be a separate, later deadline for everyone who has not responded at all.
• Start: Without a deadline, you can respond until the event starts. Your choir can allow responses for a few minutes after the start.
• Attendee limit: Once the maximum is reached, no further acceptances are possible. There is no waiting list.

Spotting open responses

As long as you have not responded to an upcoming event, it shows the label Open in the event list and a red dot in the calendar. In addition, the Events icon shows a number with all events where your response is still missing. Events whose deadline has passed no longer count.

If you have linked children, Theatilo asks who the response is for, and your children's open responses count too.

Permission

You can respond to any event you are allowed to see. You don't need a special permission.

Tips

• Respond promptly, even if you have to decline. That helps planning more than late silence.
• Use the “Only without response” filter to catch up on all open responses at once.
