What is this?

The AI program suggestion helps you put together a program for an event, for example for a concert, a wedding or a church service. The feature is marked as BETA.

How to use the suggestion

  1. Open the event and switch to the Sheet Music tab.
  2. Click “AI: Suggest Sheet Music”.
  3. Fill in your details, all of them are optional:
    • Occasion, for example Advent, wedding or gospel
    • Difficulty level
    • Program length (minutes)
    • Preferences: prefer rarely performed pieces, include sheet music from the shop
    • Additional wishes (optional) as free text
  4. Click “Fetch suggestions”. The AI needs a few seconds.
  5. Tick the pieces you want to take over. Shop titles you don't own yet have a To Shop button.
  6. Click “Add …”, for example “Add 3”. The selected pieces become the event's sheet music list.

Important: when you take them over, the event's existing sheet music list is replaced by the selected pieces.

Permission

You need Create & edit events and Create & edit sheet music. By default administrators and moderators have them. The feature is only available on the web.

Tips

  • Keep the information about your sheet music up to date: the more complete duration, genre and voicing are, the better the suggestions fit.
  • The AI works best with lots of sheet music in the library.
  • Check the suggestion yourself: the AI knows the data, you know your choir, the audience and the room.

Frequently asked questions

How does the suggestion work?▾
The AI evaluates the information about your choir's sheet music, such as duration, language, mood, difficulty, voicing and genre, and selects a sequence of pieces to match the occasion, the desired length and your wishes.
Is the sheet music assigned to the event automatically?▾
No. You tick the pieces you want and click “Add …” (with the number, for example “Add 3”). Note: the pieces you take over replace the event's existing sheet music list.
What data does the AI see?▾
Only information about your choir's sheet music, such as title, composer, arranger, duration, key, genre and voicing, plus what you enter in the dialog. No member data and no sheet music files.
Is sheet music purchased from Hal Leonard taken into account too?▾
Yes. Titles your choir has bought from Hal Leonard via the sheet music shop are part of your repertoire and are suggested like your own sheet music. With “Include sheet music from shop”, the AI also suggests suitable Hal Leonard titles you don't own yet, with a direct link to the shop. This is based on the publisher's catalog information (voicing, categories, duration); the sheet music file itself is not evaluated.
