What is this?
With Add venue you create a venue with a seating plan. It is the basis for seating tickets: buyers see the plan in the ticket shop and choose their seat.
How to create a venue
- Open Ensembles > Choir > Choir settings > Venues.
- Click “Add venue”.
- Enter the name, for example “City Hall, Main Hall”, and optionally a description.
- Create the price categories: Click Add Category, enter a name and choose a color.
- Build the seating plan in the editor below.
- Click “Save”.
Building the seating plan
The editor's toolbar offers:
- Select: click and move elements
- Seat Rows: create a row with Row Label, Number of Seats, spacing and price category
- Areas: mark sections of the hall
- Stage, Table and Obstacle, for example a pillar
- Block: block individual seats from sale or release them again
- Zoom to zoom in and out
The color of the price category shows in the plan which seat belongs to which category.
Permission
You need Create & edit venues. By default administrators and moderators have it.
Tips
- Use descriptive names, for example “City Hall, Main Hall”, if you use several rooms in the same building.
- Start rough and refine the plan later. You can edit it at any time.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to enter an address?▾
No, a venue has no address. Only the name is required. The description is optional.
When do I need a seating plan?▾
When you want to sell seating tickets where buyers choose their seat. For concerts without fixed seats, simple tickets are enough, and you don't need a venue for them.
Can I also create a venue while setting up the ticket sale?▾
Yes. If you choose “Seating Tickets” for the ticket sale, you can create a new venue directly with “+” next to the venue selection.
