Manage bank connections

What is this?

With the banking add-on, Theatilo fetches the transactions of your bank accounts automatically. Each connected account has its own Bank connection page for this. It shows:

• Status — the selected IBAN and the state of the connection
• Last sync — when transactions were last fetched
• New transactions in last run — how many new transactions came in
• Access valid until — when you need to renew access at the bank
• Last error, if the last fetch failed
• Balance check — balance at the bank, balance in the cash book, suggestions not yet confirmed and the difference

How to open a bank connection

1. Open Ensembles, choose your choir and go to Cash book > Accounts.
2. Open the ··· menu on the card of the bank account and choose Bank connection. Alternatively, click the bank status on the card.
3. Use the buttons at the bottom: Sync now, Renew access or Disconnect.

What the status means

• Active — the connection is running, transactions are fetched every night
• Awaiting login — the login at the bank was not completed
• Choose account — the login worked, you still need to select the IBAN
• Renewal required — the bank asks for a new confirmation, click Renew connection
• Expired or Error — the connection has broken off, click Try again or disconnect it

Permission

To view, you need View cashbook. Connecting, fetching, renewing and disconnecting requires Create & edit transactions.

Tips

• Watch for the email: 14 days before access expires, or when the bank asks for a new confirmation, the choir’s admins get a reminder by email.
• A difference in the balance check is usually closed by confirming open suggestions under Bank reconciliation.
