Chart of accounts (set up SKR template)

What is this?

The Chart of accounts contains the ledger accounts your tax advisor knows. Once it is set up, the entry form shows the SKR account field. The SKR account goes into the DATEV export and determines in which line of the Anlage EÜR an entry appears.

The accounts are grouped into Revenue accounts, Expense accounts, Asset accounts and Liability accounts. Each account can show a tax area and an Anlage EÜR line.

How to set up the chart of accounts

1. Open Ensembles, choose your choir and go to Cash book > Settings > Chart of accounts.
2. Choose the chart of accounts: SKR 49 (recommended) or SKR 42.
3. Click Set up chart of accounts.
4. The top of the page then shows which chart of accounts is active and how many accounts it has.

Adding and maintaining accounts

• Add accounts from template — shows all accounts of the chart that are still missing. Select them and click Add accounts.
• Custom account — create an account yourself with Account number, Account name, Type, Description, Tax area and Anlage EÜR line.
• Edit in the ··· menu of an account — change the name, description, tax area and Anlage EÜR line. The account number and type stay fixed.
• Delete in the ··· menu — if entries have already been booked to the account, it is only deactivated.

You need Create & edit transactions.

Tips

• Set up the chart of accounts before the first entries, so every entry gets its SKR account right away.
• Ask your tax advisor which accounts they need before you create many of your own.
