Disconnect bank connection
Disconnect an account from the bank. Theatilo then stops fetching transactions, while transactions already booked and all entries are kept as they are.

What is this?
With Disconnect you stop the automatic fetching for a bank account. Theatilo also removes the access at the banking service provider. The account itself stays in the cash book, and you can keep recording entries on it by hand.
How to disconnect a bank connection
- Open Ensembles, choose your choir and go to Cash book > Accounts.
- Open the ··· menu on the card of the bank account and choose Bank connection.
- Click Disconnect. If the connection is broken, you find the button in the Connection failed notice.
- Confirm the prompt with Disconnect.
- Done. The page shows Connect bank account again, and the card shows Manual.
What happens after disconnecting
- No new transactions are fetched.
- Transactions already booked are kept.
- The account stays active and keeps its balance.

You need Create & edit transactions.
Tips
- Fetch one last time beforehand with Sync now and confirm open suggestions under Bank reconciliation.
- Note the reason in the account’s notes, such as “Account closed on 30 June”.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose entries when I disconnect?▾
No. Transactions already booked and all entries of the account are kept. Only no new transactions are fetched.
When does disconnecting make sense?▾
For example when switching banks, when the account is closed or when you chose the wrong IBAN while connecting.
Can I connect again later?▾
Yes. Afterwards, the card’s **···** menu shows **Connect bank** again. You then log in to your bank once more.
