Connect bank account via PSD2

What is this?

With Connect bank you link a bank account in the cash book to the real account at your bank. After that, Theatilo fetches the transactions automatically every night. New transactions do not arrive as finished entries right away, but as suggestions under Bank reconciliation, where you confirm, merge or reject them.

Requirements

• The banking add-on is booked (€2.50 per month or €25 per year, under Choir settings > Subscription, only with a monthly or yearly subscription).
• The bank connection feature is enabled for your choir. Otherwise the page shows Bank sync not enabled and you contact support.
• The account in the cash book is a Bank account, not a cash box.

How to connect your bank account

1. Open Ensembles, choose your choir and go to Cash book > Accounts.
2. Open the ··· menu on the card of the bank account and choose Connect bank.
3. Under Import transactions from, choose the earliest date from which transactions should be taken over.
4. Click Connect with bank. Theatilo redirects you to the secure login page.
5. Choose your bank there, log in and confirm access with your bank’s procedure.
6. Back in Theatilo, select the IBAN that should be connected to this account (see “Select IBAN during bank connection”).
7. Done. The status shows Active. With Sync now you fetch the first transactions right away.

What Theatilo can and cannot do

• Read: transactions with amount, date, payment reference, counterparty and IBAN, as well as the account balance.
• Not possible: transfers, standing orders or other changes to the account.

Permission

You need Create & edit transactions.

Tips

• Choose the start date to match the opening balance of the account. If it lies before that, Theatilo also suggests transactions that are already included in the opening balance.
• Access is valid for 180 days. Theatilo reminds the choir’s admins by email 14 days before it expires.
