Select IBAN during bank connection
After logging in to your bank, you choose which IBAN is connected to the account in the cash book. Only then does the bank connection become active.

What is this?
After logging in to your bank, you return to the Bank connection page. The status then shows Choose account, and in the Choose account section Theatilo lists all accounts the bank has shared, each with its name and IBAN. Only once you select one of them does the connection become Active.
How to select the IBAN
- Complete the login at your bank (see “Connect bank account via PSD2”).
- You are taken back to the account’s Bank connection page. Otherwise, open it under Cash book > Accounts > ··· > Bank connection.
- Look for the correct IBAN in the Choose account section.
- Click Select next to it.
- The status changes to Active. With Sync now you fetch the first transactions right away, otherwise they arrive with the nightly fetch.

- Compare the IBAN with your bank statement before you select it.
- Several accounts at the same bank? Create a separate bank account in the cash book for each one and connect each one individually with its IBAN.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I have to select an IBAN?▾
Several accounts may be shared at the bank, such as a current account and a savings account. An account in the cash book, however, is connected to exactly one IBAN. You decide which one.
The list is empty. What now?▾
Then it says “No bank products reported yet”. Open the page again a little later. If it stays empty, restart the connection with **Disconnect** and **Connect bank**.
I chose the wrong IBAN. What do I do?▾
Click **Disconnect** and connect the account again. Suggestions that already came from the wrong account can be rejected under **Bank reconciliation**.
