Permission required: Cashbook – Create & edit transactions

What is this?

In the Edit account dialog you change the details of an existing account. With Deactivate you remove an account you no longer use from the cash book, for example after switching banks.

How to edit an account

  1. Open Ensembles, choose your choir and go to Cash book > Accounts.
  2. Open the ··· menu on the card of the account.
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. Change the name, IBAN, bank or notes. The type and opening balance cannot be changed.
  5. Click Save.

How to deactivate an account

  1. Open the ··· menu on the card of the account.
  2. Choose Deactivate. The account disappears from the list immediately.
  3. Made a mistake? Click Undo in the message at the bottom.

What happens when you deactivate

  • The account no longer appears under Accounts and no longer counts towards the total balance on the overview.
  • Entries already recorded stay saved and remain available under Entries.

Permission

You need Create & edit transactions.

Tips

  • Disconnect the bank connection first before you deactivate a connected account. Otherwise Theatilo keeps fetching transactions for this account.
  • Do not change the IBAN of connected accounts: The bank connection uses the IBAN you selected when connecting. For a different bank account, disconnect and connect again.

Frequently asked questions

Can I delete an account?▾
No, the cash book only offers **Deactivate** for this. The account disappears from the account list and from the total balance, but its entries are kept.
Can I correct the opening balance or the type?▾
No. The opening balance and the type (bank account or cash box) are fixed once the account has been created. In the **Edit account** dialog you can change the name, IBAN, bank and notes.
How do I bring back a deactivated account?▾
Right after deactivating, a message with **Undo** appears at the bottom. Later on, the cash book offers no way to show a deactivated account again. In that case, contact support.
