Cashbook accounts overview
Under Accounts you see all bank accounts and cash boxes of your choir with current balance, opening balance and the status of a connected bank.

What is this?
The Accounts tab shows every active account of your choir as a card. Each card shows:
- Name and type (Bank account or Cash box), for bank accounts also the bank and IBAN
- Current balance
- Opening balance
- Bank connected, Manual or the status of a bank connection with a problem
- Transactions — opens the entry list, filtered to this account
How to use the accounts
- Open Ensembles, choose your choir and go to Cash book > Accounts.
- Click Transactions on a card to see only the entries of this account.
- Click Add account at the top right to add a cash box or a bank account.
- Open the ··· menu of a card for Edit, Connect bank or Bank connection, Entry on this account, Transactions and Deactivate.
- Click the bank status on a card to open the account’s bank connection.
Permission
To view, you need View cashbook. Creating, editing, deactivating and connecting accounts to the bank requires Create & edit transactions.
Tips
- One account in Theatilo per real account: This way you can compare each balance with the bank statement or the counted cash.
- Connect bank is only available for bank accounts and only with the banking add-on.
Frequently asked questions
What types of accounts are there?▾
Two: **Bank account** and **Cash box**. Each account has its own opening balance and its own balance.
What do “Bank connected” and “Manual” mean?▾
**Bank connected** means: the account fetches its transactions from the bank through the banking add-on. **Manual** means: all entries are recorded by hand or imported. If a bank connection has a problem, its status is shown there instead, such as **Renewal required** or **Error**.
How is the balance shown calculated?▾
From the opening balance plus all income minus all expenses of the account. Cancelled entries are not counted.
