Upload sheet music (PDF)
Upload a new piece with PDF, details, tags, license file, audio and additional files in one step. For many PDFs, use the AI import.
This feature is only available on the web.
What is this?
With Upload sheet music you add a new piece to a choir's sheet music library — PDF, details, audio and further files in one step.
As soon as the piece is saved, the choir's members see it. If you hid it, only people allowed to view hidden sheet music see it.
How to upload sheet music
- Open Sheet music and click Upload sheet music at the top right.
- Under Choir and visibility, choose the choir (pre-filled from the choir filter above). With Hide sheet music the piece stays invisible to regular members until you release it. The choir cannot be changed later.
- Under Details enter the title (required), optionally composer, arranger, lyricist, duration, reference, video URL, description and tags.
- Under Files choose the sheet music PDF (optional, up to 100 MB). If your choir has a watermark set up, you can apply it to the sheet music. Optionally attach a license file.
- Under Audio files and Additional files, add further files. The title comes from the file name and can be changed.
- Fill in your choir's Custom fields if needed.
- Click Upload sheet music. The piece's detail page then opens.
Without a PDF
The PDF is optional. Without a PDF the piece remains an entry in the library marked "No PDF". You upload the first PDF version later via Edit.
Permission
To upload you need Create & edit sheet music in the choir you are uploading for. By default administrators and moderators have this.
Tips
- Upload matching audio files right away, so members can prepare at home.
- Assign tags from the start — that saves a lot of searching later.
- Large scans can be shrunk after upload on the detail page via ··· › Optimize PDF.
