Download PDF with personal annotations

What is this?

With PDF with Drawings you share a copy of the sheet music with your personal annotations — slashes, text, marks — drawn directly into it.

Important: Annotating and this export only exist in the app. In the browser you only see and download the original PDF.

Useful when you:

• want to print the sheet music to use it during a rehearsal without a tablet
• need a backup of your annotations
• want to reuse the file in another sheet music app
• want to share annotations with someone outside Theatilo

How to share the PDF with annotations

1. Open the piece in the Sheet Music area of the app.
2. Tap More → Share PDF in the dock at the bottom. On the iPad you find Share PDF at the top right of the header.
3. Choose PDF with Drawings. If you have not annotated anything yet, a note appears there.
4. The app creates the PDF and opens your device's share sheet — for mail, files or printing.

What ends up in the file

• Your annotations
• The sheet music image of the piece

Not included:

• Annotations of other members
• Jump areas
• Audio files

Permission

To share you need the Download & share sheet music permission. All members have this by default. Without this permission, Share PDF is missing.

Tips

• Before important performances, share the annotated version and print it — as a backup in case the tablet or app fails.
• Use colours sparingly — too many colours are hard to distinguish in black-and-white prints.
