Delete sheet music
Permanently delete a piece from your choir's library. PDF, audio files and all members' annotations are removed with it.
This feature is only available on the web.
What is this?
With Delete sheet music you permanently remove a piece from your choir's sheet music library. PDF versions, audio files and all members' annotations are deleted for everyone.
Restoration is not possible. Before deleting, consider whether you would rather tag the piece or hide it instead.
How to delete a piece
- Open the piece in the library.
- Click ··· at the top right and choose Delete sheet music.
- Confirm the prompt with Delete sheet music.
Alternatively, open the ··· menu of a card in the library and choose Delete there. Licensed sheet music cannot be deleted.
What disappears with the deletion
- All PDF versions of the piece
- All audio files uploaded for the piece
- The annotations of all members
- The link to events (the events themselves remain)
Permission
To delete you need Delete sheet music. By default administrators and moderators have this, regular members do not.
Alternatives to deletion
- Assign a tag: such as "Archive" or "Paused" — use the tag filters to show such pieces only when needed.
- Hide sheet music: Under Edit, hide the piece from regular members without deleting it.
- Adjust the description: Note why the piece is currently not active.
Tips
- Only delete pieces that are truly no longer needed — such as test uploads or duplicates.
- Anyone who wants to keep their annotations should share the PDF with annotations in the app beforehand.
- Give members a heads-up before deleting many pieces at once.
