Verify license code
Publicly check whether the license ID on sheet music from the Theatilo music shop is valid. Handy for publishers, organizers or associations.
This feature is only available on the web.
What is this?
Every piece of sheet music a choir buys in the Theatilo music shop gets a personal PDF for each member. On the right margin are the choir's name and a unique license ID. With Verify license anyone can publicly check whether this license is valid. Handy for:
- Publishers who want to check whether a choir has a valid license
- Concert organizers who want to see proof
- Associations checking documents
Verification is possible without login.
Note: only licenses from the Theatilo music shop can be verified. License files a choir attaches to its own sheet music cannot be checked here.
How to verify a license
- Open the Theatilo website and click Verify license at the bottom.
- Enter the choir/ensemble name as it appears on the sheet music.
- Enter the license ID.
- Click Verify.
- You immediately see the result with the key data.
What the verification shows
- Status:
- Valid license — the license is active
- Invalid license — the license was revoked or is no longer valid
- Piece — the title of the piece
- Ensemble and license ID
- Assigned on and, if applicable, revoked on
- How many licenses the choir holds in total — or unlimited licenses for a flat license
Not shown: member names, prices or contracts.
Permission
Verification needs no permission and no login.
When verification is worth it
- Before a concert: are the purchased pieces really licensed?
- For publisher inquiries: send along the choir name and license ID for verification.
Tips
- Enter the choir name exactly as it appears on the sheet music.
- Copy the license ID instead of typing it — it is long and typos happen quickly.
