Publish an association announcement
Write an official announcement to member choirs and their members — with category, target group and attachments. Publishing sends out emails.
This feature is only available on the web.
What is this?
With Write announcement you send an official message from the association. Typical occasions: invitations to the annual general meeting, concert notices, surveys, new funding programmes.
How to publish an announcement
- In the sidebar, click "Association" and then "Write announcement" at the top.
- Choose the target group: "Choirs and members", "All members" or "Only choirs".
- Choose the category: Important notices, Concerts, Events, News or Surveys.
- Optional: tick "Also send to sub-associations and their choirs" (if your role allows it).
- Enter a title and message.
- Add attachments if needed.
- Click "Save as draft" or go straight to "Publish" and confirm with "Publish to everyone".
What recipients get
- Email — depending on the target group, to the choirs' contact email and/or to the members
- Push notification on their phone, if the member has push switched on for this category
- Entry under Messages › Association — available to read at any time
Members only receive association announcements if their choir has agreed to share its data with the association.
Permission
You need a role that may send announcements — by default administrators and editors. The target groups that include members only appear if your role may also send to members.
Tips
- Write precise titles — "Spring conference 2026 programme + sign-up link" works better than "Important info!".
- A short text plus an attachment gets read more often than a long letter.
- Choose the category carefully — members switch email and push per category.
