Withdraw a request to an association

Withdraw an open join request to a choir association as long as the association hasn't decided yet. Here's how to do it in the choir settings.

This feature is only available on the web.

Permission required: Ensemble Settings – Edit settings

What is this?

If you've sent a join request to a choir association and the association hasn't decided yet, you can withdraw it. This works as long as it is "Requested" or "In progress".

How to withdraw a request

  1. In the sidebar, click "Ensembles", choose your choir and then "Choir settings" › "General".
  2. The "Choir Association" section shows "Membership request pending at …" with the association's name.
  3. Click "Withdraw request". The request is deleted right away.

Leave the association

If your choir already belongs to the association, it's listed there as "Current membership". In the row's menu, choose "Leave association", confirm and save with "Save changes". After that, you no longer receive announcements from the association.

Permission

You need access to Choir settings › General. The choir's administrators and editors may withdraw requests.

Tips

  • Give the association's office a quick heads-up if you've already been in talks.

Frequently asked questions

Does the association see that I withdrew the request?▾
The request disappears from its list. The association doesn't get a separate notification.
Can I send another request to the same association later?▾
Yes. A withdrawn request doesn't block a new one.
What if the association has already accepted?▾
Then your choir is a member and there's nothing left to withdraw. Under Choir Association you'll then see "Leave association" — but agree on leaving with the association first, as it usually has its own notice periods.
