Choir requests to join an association

As a choir, send a join request to a choir association managed in Theatilo. The association decides — if it accepts, your choir belongs to it.

This feature is only available on the web.

Permission required: Ensemble Settings – Edit settings

What is this?

If your choir wants to belong to a choir association that is managed in Theatilo, you send a join request from the choir settings. The association's staff review it and accept or reject it.

For associations that aren't managed in Theatilo, you just pick the association and save — there's no request there.

How to send a request

  1. In the sidebar, click "Ensembles", choose your choir and then "Choir settings" › "General".
  2. In the "Choir Association" section, pick the association under "Select Choir Association".
  3. If the association is managed, a notice appears. Enter the choir contact email — the association sends announcements for the choir to this address.
  4. Click "Submit request".
  5. In the "Confirm association" window you can read which data is shared. Tick the confirmation and click "Consent and send request".
  6. The top of the section now says "Membership request pending at …". The association gets an email.

What happens after the decision

  • Accepted: your choir belongs to the association. Your members receive association announcements, and the annual membership report runs through Theatilo.
  • Rejected: the link to the association is removed. You can send a new request later.

In both cases, your choir's administrators get an email.

Permission

You need access to Choir settings › General. The choir's administrators and editors may send the request.

Tips

  • Talk to the association's office first — many associations have admission requirements that Theatilo doesn't know about.
  • Use a contact email that someone reads regularly.
