This feature is only available on the web.

What is this?

With Upload title you put a new piece into the Theatilo sheet music shop. You enter basic data and a price and upload the PDF — the title is then live in the shop right away and can be bought by choirs.

How to create a new title

  1. Open Publisher > Titles and click Upload title at the top right. A side panel opens on the right with the Basics · Prices · Versions sections.
  2. Under Basics, enter:
    • Title and Composer (required)
    • Lyricist, Arranger and Catalog Number (optional)
    • Difficulty and Voicing (required)
    • Description, a media link (e.g. YouTube or Spotify) and a ChorFit Link (optional)
    • the PDF file (required, up to 50 MB) and optionally a preview image
  3. Under Prices, choose the pricing model:
    • Price per licence — with optional minimum purchase and bulk pricing
    • Flat rate per ensemble — one price for the whole choir
  4. For plays, also set the Performance fees under Prices.
  5. Under Versions & audio you can add audio samples via Add Audio File. You can add further versions once the title has been created.
  6. Click Create title.

What happens after creating it

  • The title appears with status In shop in your title list and can be bought in the sheet music shop.
  • If you didn't upload a preview image, Theatilo creates one from the first page.
  • Purchases appear under Sales and Licences and flow into the monthly credit note.

Permission

Editors, administrators and the owner of the publisher can upload titles.

Tips

  • Use clean PDFs — well-readable scores sell better.
  • Add a short audio sample — logged-in users can listen to it in the shop.
  • Use the description for occasion, difficulty and special features — that helps choir directors choose.

Frequently asked questions

Which files can I upload?▾
The score as a PDF (required, up to 50 MB), optionally a preview image as PNG or JPG (up to 5 MB) and audio samples as audio files (up to 100 MB each). Without your own preview image, Theatilo creates one from the first page.
Is a new title reviewed beforehand?▾
No. A new title is live in the shop right after you create it. If you don't want to offer it yet, remove it from the shop via ··· in the title list.
Which pricing models are there?▾
Price per licence (per singer, optionally with a minimum purchase and tiered prices) or a flat rate per ensemble (one price for the whole choir, any number of licences). A price of 0 makes the title free.
