This feature is only available on the web.

What is this?

In the Payouts tab you see the balance from your sales, which account it is paid out to, and which credit notes have been created so far.

What you see

  • Current balance — after deducting Theatilo's share, plus total sales and commission
  • Bank details — IBAN and tax ID
  • Payout schedule — monthly billing
  • Payout history — per credit note: credit note no., period, gross sales, your share and status (Pending, Paid out with date, or Cancelled)
  • Co-publishing — for jointly published titles the credit note is marked; your amount matches your share

How billing works

  1. Sales and paid performance fees for a month are collected.
  2. VAT and payment fees are deducted, and Theatilo keeps its share of the net proceeds.
  3. On the 15th of the following month the credit note is created with status Pending.
  4. Once transferred to your stored bank account, it changes to Paid out.
  5. You download the Credit note as PDF via ··· in the row.

Permission

Every member of the publisher team has access. Only administrators and the owner can change the bank details.

Tips

  • Keep your bank account up to date — wrong IBANs delay payouts.
  • Download the credit notes monthly for your bookkeeping.

Frequently asked questions

When does billing happen?▾
Theatilo creates the credit note for every active publisher on the 15th of each month, covering the previous month's sales. If there were no sales in the previous month, no credit note is created.
What platform fee applies?▾
Any VAT included in the sale price and the payment provider's fees are deducted first. Theatilo then keeps its share of the remaining net proceeds (5% by default), and you receive the rest. Special terms are set out in your contract with Theatilo.
Where do I see the breakdown of a payout?▾
In the credit note PDF. You open it in the payout history via ··· > Credit note as PDF.
