Permission required: Sheet Music – View sheet music

What is this?

The audio player in the PDF viewer plays audio examples for the current piece directly above the sheet music. With tempo and loop you practice difficult passages — without leaving the score.

Use

  1. Open a piece in the Sheet Music area.
  2. Tap "Audio" in the dock at the bottom. The number on the icon shows how many audio files there are.
  3. Choose a file from the list — all audio files for the piece, including recordings from the publisher.
  4. Tap Play — playback starts and the controls appear below.

Features

  • Speed — 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x or 2x
  • Loop — the file plays on repeat
  • Back / forward 10 seconds
  • Position in the track — jump to a spot via the bar
  • Keep listening with the player closed — when you close the audio player, the file keeps playing. A small player with play/pause and stop appears above the bottom bar; tap it to open the full player again
  • Add to playlist — collect audio files from several pieces in your own playlist
  • Share audio file — with the permission Download & share sheet music

Making your own recordings

Anyone with permission to edit sheet music can make their own recordings directly in the audio player — for example a rehearsal recording or a practice take of their own voice:

  1. Tap "Record audio" at the top of the audio player — recording starts right away.
  2. You can keep turning pages — while recording you can use the sheet music normally, a small display shows the elapsed recording time.
  3. Tap Stop — you listen to the recording at your own pace first.
  4. Give it a title and save — only then is it uploaded and visible to all members. Or discard it if it did not turn out well.

Recordings can be up to 60 minutes long. Delete via the trash icon next to the file — with a confirmation prompt. Recordings from the publisher cannot be deleted.

When is it useful?

  • Practice at home — sing along with the recording
  • Learn difficult passages slowly — set the speed to 0.75x or 0.5x and increase step by step
  • Hear pronunciation — play slower for foreign-language texts

Tips

  • Headphones help you practice undisturbed.
  • Turn on Loop instead of restarting over and over.
  • Increase speed step by step — 0.5x → 0.75x → 1x.

Permission

Every member with View sheet music can listen. Recording and deleting audio files needs Create & edit sheet music, sharing needs Download & share sheet music.

Frequently asked questions

Which audio formats are supported?▾
Common formats such as MP3, M4A or WAV. They are uploaded in the browser via Sheet Music > open piece > Edit > Audio files, or directly in the app via Record audio.
What is the difference to the voice trainer?▾
The voice trainer generates its own practice audio for each voice from a MusicXML file. The audio player plays uploaded audio files exactly as they are.
Does the player work offline?▾
No. The audio files are loaded from the internet when played and are not stored permanently on the device.
Can I make my own recordings?▾
Yes — via "Record audio" at the top of the audio player. You listen to the recording first and then decide whether it is saved. Anyone who can edit sheet music can record.
