Permission required: Sheet Music – View sheet music

What is this?

Jump areas are tappable zones directly in the sheet music PDF. You place a start area at the spot you jump from (e.g. the repeat sign) and a target area at the spot where it continues. While practicing or in concert, you tap the start area and land right at the target — even on a different page.

How to set jump areas

  1. Open a piece in the Sheet Music area.
  2. Tap "Annotate" in the dock at the bottom and then "Jumps".
  3. Tap "Create" in the Jump areas window.
  4. Place the start area at the spot you want to jump from.
  5. Place the target area at the spot where it continues — on the same or another page.
  6. Repeat for all important spots.
  7. Tap "Save" at the top.

Changing jump areas

  • Move — in annotate mode you drag an area to a new position.
  • Undo — in the Jump areas window removes the pair created last.
  • Delete All — removes all your jump areas for this piece.

Default jump areas

  • Save as default — anyone with the permission Manage default jump areas stores their jump areas as a template for all members.
  • Import default jump areas — takes over the choir director's template. Your own jump areas are overwritten in the process, drawings are kept.

When are they essential?

  • In concert — quick transitions without page-flipping stress
  • For repeats with jumps — e.g. "Da Capo al Coda"
  • For longer pieces with many repeats

Tips

  • Place the start area exactly on the sign where you jump — then you find it instantly in concert.
  • Not too many — only where you actually jump.
  • Play through the jumps once before concerts.

Permission

Every member with View sheet music can set their own jump areas. Saving default jump areas for everyone needs Manage default jump areas.

How many jump areas per piece?▾
As many start-and-target pairs as you like.
Do they work offline?▾
Yes. Jump areas are stored on the device together with your annotations and also work without internet.
