What is this?

The metronome in the PDF viewer beats the tempo right in the sheet music view. You do not need to open a separate metronome app — keeping tempo and reading sheet music happens in one window.

Use

  1. Open a piece in the Sheet Music area.
  2. Tap "More" in the dock at the bottom and then "Metronome" (on the iPad directly in the dock).
  3. Set the tempo with −5, −1, +1 and +5.
  4. Tap "Start" — the circle with the BPM number pulses in time, and you hear the click.
  5. Tap "Stop" when you are done.

Features

  • Tempo from 40 to 180 BPM
  • Beat indicator — the circle pulses with every beat, useful when the sound is quiet
  • Keeps running when you close the window
  • Change tempo during playback — without restarting and without skipping a beat

When is it useful?

  • In a rehearsal room without a metronome
  • Practicing at home — no switching between apps
  • Checking tempo — if the piece says "♩ = 120", you set it quickly
  • Practicing difficult passages slowly and gradually increasing the tempo

Tips

  • Use the beat indicator in quiet rehearsal rooms.
  • Headphones — the click in your ear, the choir singing around you.
