Delete item

What is this?

With Delete you remove single photos or videos from an album — for example duplicates, blurry shots or pictures that someone later asked to have removed.

Other media in the album stay unchanged. To remove the whole album, use "Delete album".

How to delete an item

On the web

1. Click "Media" in the sidebar and open the album.
2. Click the item to open the large view.
3. Click "Delete" (bin icon at the top right).
4. The item disappears immediately. For a few seconds you can bring it back with "Undo", after that it is deleted for good.

In the app

1. Open the album under "Media".
2. Long-press the item and choose "Delete" — or tap the selection icon at the top and then tap the items you want to remove.
3. Confirm the prompt.

When you should delete media

• Privacy requests — if someone does not want to appear in a picture
• Duplicate shots, of which one is enough
• Blurry or badly exposed shots
• Media in the wrong album

Permissions

You need Delete albums & media — administrators and editors by default. If the album allows member uploads, you may delete your own uploads even without this permission.

Tips

• Save media beforehand if you might need them later.
• Respond quickly to privacy requests — a short reply builds trust.
