Create a new media album

What is this?

With Create Album you set up a new collection for your choir's photos and videos. Usually there's one album per occasion — for example "Summer Concert 2026" or "Rehearsal Weekend March".

How to create an album

1. Click "Media" in the sidebar.
2. Click "Create Album" at the top right.
3. Choose the choir. If a choir is already selected in the choir switcher above, or you only have one, it's already filled in.
4. Enter the album name.
5. Optional: write a description (up to 1000 characters).
6. Optional: check "Members may upload media".
7. Click "Create Album". The album opens right away, and you can upload photos.

Which fields there are

• Choir — can't be changed later
• Album name — short and clear, ideally with occasion and year
• Description — a short text about the occasion
• Members may upload media — opens the album for uploads by all members

The cover image is automatic: it's the first photo in the album.

Permission

You need Create & edit albums & media in the respective choir. By default administrators and moderators have this. Projects don't have albums.

Tips

• Create the album right after the occasion, while the photos are still fresh.
• Use clear titles like "Spring Concert 2026 — City Hall" so the album is easy to find even in two years.
• Get consent from the people shown before you share photos.
