Delete project
Delete a project for good together with participants, events, sheet music, notifications, albums and chats — or archive it so that everything is kept.
This feature is only available on the web.
What is this?
With Delete Project you remove a project for good. Deleted along with the project are: Members and their data, Events and RSVPs, Sheet music and audio files, Notifications and attachments, Media albums and media, Chats and messages.
How to delete a project
- Click "Projects" in the sidebar and open the project.
- Open the ··· menu at the top and choose "Delete Project".
- Read the list of what will be deleted and type DELETE to confirm.
- Confirm with "Delete Project". The project is removed immediately.
Alternative: archive
If you only want to close the project, archive it: in the project overview, open the ··· menu on the card and choose "Archive". Events, sheet music and notifications are kept; the project is then listed under "Archive" and no longer counts towards the project limit. It cannot be reactivated.
After its run time of one year, a project is archived automatically.
Permissions
- Only administrators of the project may delete.
- Archiving requires the permission Archive projects in the project.
Tips
- Archive instead of deleting if events or sheet music might be needed later.
- Inform guests before you delete a project.
