Permission required: Projects – View projects

What is this?

Projects are time-limited ensembles that belong to a choir — for example for a production, a concert series or a workshop. A project has its own participants, its own events, sheet music and notifications, and runs for one year. Projects cost nothing extra, but the choir needs a subscription or the trial period.

The area appears in the sidebar under "Projects" as soon as the choir leadership has switched projects on under Choir settings › General.

What you see in the overview

  • At the top the switch between "Active" and "Archive"
  • Each project as a card with colour, name, description, number of people, run time ("until …") and the choir it belongs to
  • The choir switcher at the top filters the projects by choir

Via the ··· menu on a card you can open, archive (with permission) or leave the project.

What you can do in this area

  • Open a project — view participants, events, sheet music and notifications
  • Create a project — with the permission "Create projects"
  • Edit a project — name, description, colour, time zone, logo
  • Manage participants — invite, take over from the choir, remove
  • Share sheet music — show sheet music from the choir in the project
  • Archive — close the project; this is final

Permissions

You need View projects in the choir. All groups have this by default. Which areas you see inside a project is controlled by the project's own permission groups.

Tips

  • Create a project as soon as the idea is settled — so participants can plan early.
  • Only archive when everything is done — an archived project cannot be reactivated.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a project and a choir?▾
A choir is a permanent community. A project belongs to a choir, runs for one year and has its own participants, events, sheet music and notifications — for example for a production with guests.
What happens when a project expires?▾
After one year it is archived automatically. Events, sheet music and notifications are kept, but an archived project can no longer be reactivated. You can extend a project via support@theatilo.com.
How many projects can a choir have?▾
Up to three active projects at the same time. Archived projects do not count.
Are projects available in the app?▾
A separate Projects area only exists on the web. As a participant you also see a project's events and notifications in the app.
