Open notification via bell
Click a notification entry in the bell and you land right on the notification, with its content, attachments, poll and comments.
What is this?
If a bell notification is sent when a notification is published in your choir, you get an entry in the bell. One click on it opens the notification directly, with its content, attachments, comments and any polls.
This is usually the fastest way to read new notifications without going through Messages › Notifications first.
How to open a notification via the bell
- Click the bell at the top right of the header.
- In the "Notifications" window you see the entry for the notification.
- Click the entry.
- You land on the notification with its full content.
- Read, comment or react as usual.
What you can do on the notification
- Read the content: full text, with clickable links
- Open attachments: PDFs, images, Word, Excel and text files
- Comment: replies and discussion, if comments are allowed
- React: with one of ten emojis
- Take part in polls, if one is attached
Permission
You can only open notifications that are visible to you, meaning notifications from choirs where you may view notifications. If the visibility is restricted to certain permission groups, functions or chat groups, you have to belong to one of them.
Tips
- Respond promptly, especially for polls and sign-ups with a deadline; otherwise you miss important things.
- Use comments for follow-up questions, so everyone has the discussion in one place instead of scattered across chats and emails.
- For attachments with program flyers or sign-up links, open them in the browser instead of downloading the whole PDF.
