What is this?

The music shop is the marketplace for licensed choir sheet music in Theatilo. Here you find pieces from various publishers and composers as well as partner titles.

The shop is connected to your choir's sheet music library: purchased sheet music appears in the library and is available to members.

How to open the shop

  • Signed in: Open Sheet Music and click Sheet music shop at the top right. Everyone allowed to edit sheet music sees the button, if the music shop is enabled for one of their choirs.
  • Without signing in: via the Sheet music shop link at the bottom of the Theatilo website.

What you can do

  • Search by title, composer or arranger
  • Filter by difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard), voicing and publisher
  • Sort by date, title, composer or price
  • Browse featured sheet music and collections
  • Open a piece — with preview, audio samples, price and purchase
  • My Licenses — leads to Sheet Music > Licences when signed in

Permission

Browsing works without permission — even without signing in. To buy you must be signed in and an active member of a choir that Theatilo has enabled the music shop for, with an active subscription or a running trial.

Tips

  • Use the filters by voicing and difficulty — that saves search time.
  • Listen to audio samples, when available — that helps with your choice.
  • Plan concert programs early, so there is enough time to buy and prepare.

Partner titles

Some titles in the shop come from our distribution partner Hal Leonard and are marked with the Partner title badge. These pieces sit in the same grid as publisher titles; use the publisher filter to show only Hal Leonard titles or only one specific publisher.

The difference from the publisher catalogue: after purchase the file is provided directly by the partner, Theatilo does not store it. Each time you open it, Theatilo fetches a fresh, short-lived link. A minimum quantity applies (usually 10 copies), already shown on the tile. Your contract partner remains Theatilo, and the purchase works through your choir as usual.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use the shop?▾
Browsing works without an account. Audio samples and the full preview are available after signing in. To buy you need a Theatilo account and a choir the music shop is enabled for, with an active subscription or a running trial.
Which license models exist?▾
Either a price per license — one license per singer, often with a minimum quantity and volume discounts — or a flat price for the whole choir with any number of licenses. On the respective piece you see which model applies.
Can I pass purchased sheet music to other choirs?▾
No. The license only applies to the choir it was bought for. Other choirs must acquire their own license — that protects publishers and composers.
