Install Theatilo Files (desktop sync)
Install Theatilo Files on Mac or Windows: your choirs' files appear in Finder or Explorer and only download when you open them.
This feature is only available on the web.
What is this?
Theatilo Files is a program for Mac (macOS 13 and later) and Windows (Windows 10 and later). It shows the Files area of your choirs directly in Finder or Explorer — similar to Dropbox or OneDrive.
All files are visible right away, but they only download when opened. So you open files in your usual programs, edit or print them there, without downloading them one by one from the web.
How to install Theatilo Files
- Open www.chorilo.com/download in your browser. The page detects your operating system.
- Download the file for Mac or Windows.
- Mac: Open the downloaded file, drag Theatilo Files into the Applications folder and start it. The Theatilo icon appears at the top in the menu bar.
- Windows: Run the downloaded file. Theatilo Files sets itself up on first start (Start menu, autostart) and appears as an icon at the bottom right of the taskbar.
- Click the Theatilo icon and choose "Anmelden …" ("Sign in …"). Sign-in opens in the browser — sign in with your Theatilo account.
- Afterwards "Theatilo Files" appears in Finder's sidebar or as a folder in Explorer, containing one folder per choir.
What you have afterwards
- One folder per choir with all files and subfolders
- Download on open, right-click to keep permanently offline or free up space
- Automatic upload of changes, new files, renaming, moving and deleting
- Restore versions by right-clicking a file
- Set permissions by right-clicking a folder, if you are authorized to do so
- Start with the computer, can be turned off in the icon's menu
Permission
No special permission required. Which files you see and can change depends, as on the web, on your rights in the respective choir.
Tips
- Let Theatilo Files run in the background so the folder stays up to date.
- Signing out via the Theatilo icon removes the downloaded files from this computer again.
