Change password

What is this?

With Change Password you set a new sign-in password for your Theatilo account — for example if you used Theatilo on someone else's device or suspect that someone knows your password.

How to change your password

On the web

1. Click your profile picture in the top right and pick "Settings".
2. Pick "Password" on the left.
3. Enter your Current Password.
4. Enter the New Password and repeat it under "Confirm New Password".
5. Click "Change Password".

In the app

1. Tap your avatar in the top right and pick "Change password" (also found under Security).
2. Enter the current password, then the new one twice, and save.

What happens next

• The new password takes effect immediately.
• You stay signed in on this device.
• You are signed out on all other devices.
• Connected AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude) lose access and need to be reconnected.

Requirements for the new password

• At least 8 characters
• The confirmation must match exactly.

Permission

You can always change your own password — no special permission needed. No one else, not even the choir leadership, can see or change your password.

Tips

• Use a password manager, such as the one built into your browser or phone — that way you do not have to remember long passwords.
• Never share your password — not even with fellow board members. Anyone who needs to act on your behalf should get their own membership with a matching permission group.
